Robert Sylvester Walker was born to the late Norman and Letha Walker on January 25, 1947 in Palmetto, Florida.
Robert graduated from Lincoln Memorial High School in the Class of 1965. He began work with the Police Department in 1973 inspiring him to attend Manatee Vocational
School and the Police Academy. In 1978 he enlisted in the United States Army until June 3, 1988. He retired from the City of Palmetto in 2014.
As a Deacon in the church, Robert loved God and his Family. He was a member of New Life General Baptist Church in Palmetto, Florida until he was called home.
He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Joyner.
He Leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Evelyn; five sons; Derrick, Robert (Tyrone), Jeremy (Kyle), Robert Jr., and David; three daughters: Paulette, Katrina Washington, and Montrese Mays; five sisters: Sharon Daniels, Billie Crawford, Elissa Reddick, Betty Hammonds, and Christella Mitchell; and a host of grands; great grands; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
