Karen “Chubby” McDaniel was born on November 24, 1959 in Bradenton, Florida. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was an active member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church. Karen was the family cook and enjoyed cooking new things for her family to try. She was an excellent cook and would feed anyone. She loved to cruise and travel. Karen took pride in taking care of her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Leverge McDaniel, Sr.; son, Bennie McDaniel, Sr.; sister, Avis McDaniel-Blalock; brothers: Leverge McDaniel, Jr., Lewy McDaniel, and Jeffrey McDaniel.
Karen leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her mother, Minnie Pearl McDaniel; children: Laewankia McDaniel, Mitzy McDaniel, Broderick McDaniel, Devon McDaniel, and Shanice Mays; siblings: Rita Jackson (Gary), Kary McDaniel; seven grandchildren: Malik, Vince, Wayneshia, Bennie, Dontrayl, Meagan, and Ja’Nya; two great-grandchildren: Karsyn, and Adali; one bonus grandson, Wayne, III all of Bradenton, Florida; a special great niece who called her mommy, Jada; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and many sorrowing relatives and friends.
