On December 27, 1952 in Bradenton, Florida. Alphonso Dixon Jr. was born to the late Alphonso Dixon Sr. and Ms. Lionel McNeal.
Alphonso or 'Al" as he was known by family and friends resided in Bradenton. For his entire life he attended Southeast High School and graduated in 1971. Al was a dedicated employee of Manatee County for thirty- five years and could often be seen on the tractor helping to keep his county beautiful. He enjoyed his work until he retired as a Public MAintenance Technician II.
On May 6, 1983, Al was joined n matrimony to his sweetheart Ms. Rose Holland. Al and Rose remianed a loving couple for twenty two years. Their love story also contains three children whom they loved very much. Only one thing could separate them and that was passing.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rose Dixon; brothers: Nevel Dean Sr., Harry Dean, Sr. ; sisters: Helen Bradley and Dorothy Bridges ; son in law: Scott Mcneil
On Sunday August 15, 2021, Al grew tired and transitioned from labor to rest. Forever cherising his memories his daughter Jacqui McNeil ; two sons: Alphonso Dixon III, and Latharia Dixon Sr.; ten granchildren,siblings, Uncles, aunts and a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
