Shirley Jean Milton was born February 9, 1949 in Bradenton, Florida to the late Rudene Grissett and JD  Davis.

She attended Manatee County School System and graduated from Lincoln High School in the Class of 1968.  She  played the clarinet in the school band.  She was employed as a certified nursing assistant. Shirley was a homemaker who loved caring for her children, she loved singing and attending her church.  She was a member of Bradenton Gospel Tabernacle.

Shirley is preceded in death by her sister Cynthia  Grissett.

She leaves to cherish her memories a daughter, Merikye Milton; two sons:  Carlos Stevenson (Sheniqua), and Antonio Milton (Charlotte); grandchildren:  Carlisia,  Chelsia, Camryn, Lloyd, Latrez, Tirrell, Tarique, Dontrell, Jasmine, Shawnastia, Jeremiah, Corey, Ceira, and Dequan; 12 great grandchildren; special daughter, Donna Randall (Lazandious); sister, Henrietta Grissett; two brothers: Lee Rodgers Davis (Wanda), and Johnny Waiters; and a host of friends and family.  Special friends: Dolly Pharoah, and Thomas Johnson.
