Rosa L. Martin Carnegie was the daughter of the late Emerson Martin, Sr. and Mae Bell Martin.  She was one of eleven (11) children, born January 22, 1945 in Lake City, Florida.  She was educated in Manatee County and graduated from Lincoln Memorial High Class of 1964.  She was married to John A. Carnegie, April 1965.

She's proceeded by her parents, four sisters, and two bothers.

She leaves to cherish her memories three sons: John Carnegie, Jr. (Yvonne) of Bradenton, Florida, Trent Carnegie, Sr of Georgia, and Eric Carnegie of Sarasota, Florida; five grandchildren: John Carnegie, III, Trent Carnegie, Sr, Trina Carnegie, Jawuan Taylor, and Toyoria Davis: five great grand children; one sister, Rosa M. Fields; three brothers: Willie Martin of Micanopy, Florida, Emerson Martin, Jr., and  Nathaniel Martin both of Bradenton, Florida; and a host of nephews, nieces, great nephews, and nieces.
