Richard Alen McCray was born January 27, 1960 in the Hemingway, South Carolina to the late James B. and Lucille McCray. He was called to rest on June 21, 2021.

Richard was educated in the public schools of Williamsburg County.  Richard joined Chavis A.M.E. Church.

He worked various jobs over the years.  He later relocated to Bradenton, Florida.

He is preceded in death by two sisters: Janie and Bertha; and two nephews.

Richard leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Alvetta; four children, two sons: Dennis Brockinton, and Darius Frierson; two daughters: Demeshia Gamble (Joshua), and Daianeke Frierson; four grandchildren: Skylar, Joshua, Jacob, and Jayda: one brother, James McCray (Gardenia); three sisters: Rhodie Frierson (Maurice), Annie Brockinton (Donnie), Marther McCray (Bobby) : fouruncles; seven aunts; one great aunt; eight nieces; three nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
