Leo Strong, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, peacefully transitioned home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ, on July31, 2025, in Bradenton. Florida at the age of 92.

He was born on  December 24, 1932 in Jacksonville, Florida to David Strong and Hattie Abraham-Strong.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Leo served his country with honor and later worked as a dedicated employee of the School Board of Manatee County until his retirement.  He was also a faithful member of the Church Of Christ, where he found great joy, and purpose in worship service.

Leo will be remembered for his infectious smile, unwavering faith, and boundless love for his family.  His life was filled with love, kindness, laughter, and a legacy that will be cherished in the hearts of all who knew him.

Leo was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Essie Strong, whom he married in 1989, and his beloved son, Steven Mark Strong.

He is survived by four loving sons: Ulysses David Strong, Otis Lee Strong (Phyllis), Jimmy Keith Strong, Sr., and P. J. Strong; eleven    grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
