Elder Ivory Lee Fair, Sr., son of the late Theodore and Jennie Myers Fair was born June 28, 1934 in Osceola, Arkansas.
He met the love of his life, Ms. Rosie Mae Savage at an early age and married her in 1954. To this union, six children were born, three girls and three boys, Naomi, Ivory, Jr., Thelma, Clarence, James, and Barbara.
Mr. Fair was educated in the public school system in Arkansas. He worked hard in farming when he was young. In the 1960's, he relocated to Florida to provide a better life for his family. He drove trucks for Taylor Trucking Company from July 1961 - 1967 until he became a devoted employee of Tropicana. He was a loyal and dependable employee for thirty-eight and a half years retiring in April 13, 2005.
Mr. Fair was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord. He joined Bell's Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Elder T. Riley where he became an Elder. No matter what happened in his life or how anyone treated him, he never complained.
He is preceded in death by a loving wife, Rosie M. Fair, son, Ivory Lee Fair, Jr.; sisters: Izora Moss, Alma Gammage; brothers: Theodore R. Fair, Jr., Dooley Fair, Timothy, and Joe Lee Fair, Sr.; Grandmother, Jennie B. Fair; Grandfather: Walter Myers.
He leaves to cherish his memories: daughters: Naomi Fair Blunt (Curtis), Thelma R. Fair, and Barbara A. Fair; sons: Clarence E. Fair (MT), and James R. Fair; sisters: Gloria Strozier, St. Louis, Missouri, Rosemary Fair, Keiser, Arkansas, Verna Thomas, Arkansas, Queen Ester Watson, Little Rock, Arkansas; Brother: Jimmy Fair, Dyersburg, Tenn. Special daughters: Dominique Crawford, Adriana Evans, and Lakeitha Evans; Special Son: David Evans; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
