Brandy Alexandria Hicks

Brandy Hicks was born on June 17, 1984 at MacDill Airforce Base in Tampa, FL.  She is the daughter of Alfred and Denita James.  Brandy was baptized at an early age while attending St. John 1st Baptist     Institutional Church under the pastoral ship of the late Pastor Fred Brown.  Brandy attended public school in Manatee County, graduating from Palmetto High School in 2002 in the top ten percent of her class.

Brandy always wanted to be a nurse and she received her AS degree in Nursing in 2006 from then Manatee Community College.  Upon receiving her nursing degree Brandy moved to Austin, Texas.  Brandy returned to Florida and lived in Tampa for about one year before   returning home.  While in Tampa, Brandy gave birth to  Kaiden James Michael, her only child.  Brandy worked as a contract nurse working primarily at Blake Medical Center until her passing.

Brandy was preceded in death by her grandmother, Rosa Lee James and grandfathers Bobby Lewis and Eddie Yarn.

Brandy leaves cherished memories to her son, Kaiden James          Michael;  her parents:  Alfred and Denita James; one sister Erica Bruton (Shelton); four brothers: Brian, Daniel, Michael and Ricardo, all of Palmetto, FL;  one grandmother, Gloria Lewis;  three aunts: Kyan Brown (Tony), Enid Lee (Chuck), and Sheila Yarn; three        uncles: Bobby Lewis, Jr. (Allison), Vantrez Yarn, and Raymond Yarn; two nieces: Sabria and Ariyah;  nephew: Shelton, Jr.; seven great aunts: Margaret Larris, LeDora Preston (James), LeNora Mitchell, Maxine Glover (Pete), Yvonne McMillian, Marie Bryant, and Doris Hinton (Bobby); and a host of cousins and friends.
